My dream has always been to own a quilt shop. On November 15, 2006, with the support of my loving husband and three wonderful children, my dream and “My Quilt Shoppe” became a reality.
I have always enjoyed making things with my hands. I learned to sew by the age of nine. By my teens, I was sewing, crocheting, knitting, stitching needle point and crewel. Quilting, however, truly captured my heart. I love the history of quilting, the fabrics and making the quilts. I especially love the friendships that are formed though quilting. These are the things that inspired me to open “My Quilt Shoppe”.
“My Quilt Shoppe” carries over 3,000 bolts of 100% cotton fabric including 20’s, 30’s and traditional prints, batiks, florals, tropicals, and brights. Our extensive notion department serves the novice quilter as well as the advanced. We have a widespread selection of books and patterns. Our large, comfortable classroom provides a wonderful setting where new techniques are learned and friendships are made. Our store staff and teachers are enthusiastic, experienced and friendly. Throughout the store, you’ll find great gifts for yourself and your quilting friends. And if your feet get tired, relax in one of our comfy chairs or in our favorite recliner known as “The Man’s Chair”.
Our store is located in beautiful, balmy West Palm Beach, Florida with easy access from the Florida Turnpike and Interstate 95. If you are traveling though our town, please stop by and say “hello”. We would love to meet you!
I would like to thank my 16 year old son, who at age 7 designed the logo for “My Quilt Shoppe”. While visiting a wonderful quilt shop on vacation, I mentioned to him that if I ever owned a quilt shop, it would resemble the one we just left. That evening, he presented me with the store “sign” for “Mom and Sons Quilt Shop.” Our store and business logo is based on his original artwork!
